Great Basin Institute at Galena

Great Basin Institute at Galena  seeks to inspire closer relationships with nature through direct experiences in the natural world. Our mission is to conserve and restore our forest environments through education.  Outdoor enthusiasts of all interests enjoy our interpretive programs, hikes and lectures throughout Galena Creek Recreation Area and Galena Creek Regional Park. Your partnership support helps us to provide  K-12 standards-based workshops, summer nature day camp for youth, residential outdoor youth camp, pre-K science programs, nature hikes and activities, summer campfire program, exhibits and more!  Our programs have served thousands of local youth and community  members.

The work is only beginning! Help us reach the goal of providing quality  outdoor programming for all ages, regardless of economic status,  by becoming a partner in connecting the community to nature.
