The Visitor Center is operated by staff and volunteers of the Great Basin Institute.
Support for the Visitor Center enables us to:
• Educate the public about the appropriate use of the natural and cultural resources in the Galena Canyon area.
• Provide natural and cultural history programming for visitors of all ages.
• Reach out to local schools with standards-based environmental and cultural education opportunities.
• Offer nature-based youth camps in Galena Creek Park.
• Collaborate with other agencies to offer continuing education for local teachers and educators.
