Guided Nature Hikes

First and Third Saturday of Every Month

10 am - 12 pm

Picture
Are you eager to get outdoors and exercise your mind and body? Our guided hikes are a great way to stay active while learning about the local area. Each Saturday a specialist in their field will lead a guided hike along one of the Galena Park Trails while teaching one of many topics including, local history, ecology, geology, weather, wildlife, birding, and more. Bring water, sunscreen, hiking boots, and a hungry brain. The hikes start at 10:00 am unless otherwise determined by the specialist. Find out what topics are coming up in the weeks ahead and what time they will meet at by visiting our events calendar or sign up for our newsletter.

Would you like to lead a guided hike?

If you or someone you know is interested in leading a guided hike, let us know by signing up as a volunteer or email us at visitorcenter@thegreatbasininstitute.org.
