WELCOME TO FIELD-TRIP-IN-A-BOX!
With support from the Nell J. Redfield Foundation, we have developed a Field-Trip-in-a-Box program for local teachers at the following Washoe County School District schools: Anderson, Peavine, Lincoln Park, Towles, Cold Springs, Dunn, Gomes, Warner, Dilworth, Hidden Valley, Hunter Lake, and Vaughn.
The Field-Trip-in-a-Box program provides free curricula and materials to assist students in teaching a variety of nature-based STEAM topics like animal adaptations and conservation during the pandemic. This program will replace our traditional in-person field studies in 2021, until we are able to safely resume traditional programs.
If you're a K-12 educator at a Redfield school in Washoe County, you are eligible to receive a free Field-Trip-in-a-Box program for you and your students! Fill out the application below and email it to visitorcenter@gbinstitute.org!
