Great Basin Naturalists Field Studies...Adventure, learning and fun in Galena Creek Park for youth ages 8 - 17.
Summer Youth Camp
This summer, give your child the opportunity to become an historian, butterfly expert, Junior Ranger, or a paleontologist, and still have time to play and dream in the great outdoors! We provide youth ages 8 - 12 with the opportunity to explore the outdoors in a safe, fun, nurturing, and engaging setting. Each day, campers will play and explore in Galena Creek Park while learning about the rich natural and cultural history of Nevada, from streams and trees to bears and bugs. This year’s program includes:
*New themes and options for one-day registration;
*Two weeks of the popular Designation: Wilderness theme;
*Weekly field trips to Sand Harbor at Lake Tahoe;
*Young Naturalist Institute residential week at Camp WeChMe.
